The application has been crafted to facilitate the connection of basic circuits of a metal detector to an iPhone through the phone’s headphone jack. The schematics for homemade metal detectors are notably straightforward, rendering it accessible for individuals regardless of their soldering experience. The initial design, labeled "Very Simple" metal detector (MD1), presents one of the most simplistic yet operational schematics for a metal detector, primarily comprising an LC circuit along with two resistors, excluding the iPhone :). The central component of the device remains the LC circuit, where maintaining stability in its parameters is critical. The free versions of metal detectors come with restrictions primarily tied to sound signal thresholds and indicator light responses. While users can rely on numerical readings displayed in reduced font sizes on the iPhone screen for metal detection, auditory or peripheral visual cues are limited without direct screen observation.
